Between the Barrows: In Search of the Ditch

Join Our Community Archaeology Dig in Harmony Woods!

Do you love history? Ever dreamed of unearthing the past with real archaeologists by your side? Now's your chance!

Since 2016, archaeologists have returned each year to Harmony Woods (The Diamond Wood) to explore the ancient Bronze Age landscape hidden beneath your feet. After years of investigation, the elusive ditch between two burial barrows was finally uncovered — and now we need your help to dig deeper.

Whether you're looking to lend a hand, learn a new skill, or simply be part of something ancient and exciting, there's a role for everyone. No experience needed — just enthusiasm!
