Timbershare

This project used the surplus timber (larch and cedar) generated from the Cabin build to connect people to Harmony Woods.

The aim was to encourage the sharing of traditional woodworking skills, to reduce waste and to demonstrate respect for materials and resources,

Simple wooden stool workshop with Angus Beaton.

Make a simple 3- or 4-legged wooden stool, from scratch using ash wood and cedar or larch from the cabin build.
Using hand tools you will, from a log, cleave, axe and shape legs, mark and drill the seat board and fit the legs.

The tools are very sharp so this workshop is for those age 16+ only. Also the work is quite physical and so attendees will need to be able to use an axe or hand tools for several hours.

Suggested donation £25 (to cover ATU costs, concessions available so please ask - charge may vary depending on what you make - happy to discuss when you arrive).
