David Goss
My name is Dave Goss and I am a regular dog walker on the Englefield Estate who came across the One Ash project by chance. I am a retired electrical engineer and a recent hobbyist wood turner and general woodworker and my partner Hazel also enjoys woodturning. The Ash slice is for a bird table top for one of her sisters.
I enjoy repurposing items for reuse and also like working with imperfect wood that others discard. I used to lead teams at work to come outside and do conservation work in an adjoining 11 acres of woodland, so I think this is an excellent project.
I intend to split the trunk sections to make legs and cross struts for an ash stool for the workshop, having never made a stool before! I will send photos as the project commences, so here are the first few.
